Responsible for set-up, operating, and tending to equipment used in the mixing and blending of product.Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate equipment such as pumps and conveyors to move materials or ingredients through the production process.
- Add or mix ingredients according to formula for processing, using equipment. Responsible for measuring ingredients to ensure integrity of formula.
- Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas using equipment and machinery.
- Drain batches from equipment into storage tanks. Unload batches into containers or onto conveyors for further processing.
- Preform daily quality inspections and make adjustments to product and equipment as necessary through the collection of samples
- Responsible for performing tasks as described and assigned by the Department Supervisor/Lead.
- Responsible for keeping work area clean and sanitizing equipment
- Responsible for trouble shooting machine and making minor repairs, as well as assisting in preventative maintenance tasks
- Other duties may be assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior machine operator experience (preferred)
- Ability to operate fork truck and pallet jack
- Computer knowledge and documentation
- Must keep pace with line and able to adjust to changing demands and environments quickly.
- Must work as a team player, ensuring product specifications are attained in a safe and efficient manner and communicate well with other team members.
- Must follow company’s GMP’s, SOP’s, Plant Rules and Policies.
- Assist other departments as assigned by Supervisor/Lead/Manager.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must strive to satisfy the requirements of internal and external customers.
**These positions will require employees to require long work hours (12-hr shifts) during start-up that could also include 6-7day work weeks as the processes ramp up.
NOTE: Selected candidate(s) will be evaluated during a 60-day introductory period to ensure they have ability to perform the job as described above.
