Job Title: Behavior Technician – Launch Program

Location: Regis College, Wellesley, MA

Program Overview:

The Launch Program at Regis College provides vocational training and job readiness support

for young adults aged 18–22. The program emphasizes real-world work experiences, both on

campus and at local businesses in Wellesley, helping students develop independence,

employability skills, and professional confidence.

Position Summary:

The Behavior Technician (BT) in the Launch Program serves primarily as a job coach,

providing individualized support to students as they participate in on-campus and

community-based vocational experiences. This role is critical in helping students apply

functional skills, maintain task engagement, and build workplace independence.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a job coach for Launch Program students at Regis College and at local

businesses in Wellesley.

Provide direct support to students in vocational settings, ensuring tasks are completed

successfully and safely.

 

?

Implement individualized behavior support plans and promote positive behavior

strategies during work experiences.

 

?

Model appropriate workplace behaviors and facilitate student skill development,

including communication, time management, and task completion.

 

?

Monitor and document student progress toward vocational goals, providing feedback to

program staff and families as appropriate.

 

?

Collaborate with program staff to adapt tasks and environments to meet student needs.

 

?

Support students in developing independence in transportation, work routines, and

social interactions.

 

?

Attend team meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications:

 

?

Experience working with young adults with developmental or behavioral needs preferred.

?

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to model appropriate workplace behavior.

 

?

Patience, flexibility, and the ability to work collaboratively with students and staff.

 

?

Reliable transportation to support community-based work experiences in Wellesley.

Work Environment:

This position involves a combination of on-campus work at Regis College and

community-based job sites in Wellesley. Staff may be required to move between locations

during the day and provide hands-on support to students in varied vocational settings.
