Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to support our team by handling key HR functions, ensuring a seamless employee experience, and maintaining efficient HR operations. This role requires excellent communication and organization skills, strong analytical ability, and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information. This position will handle daily HR duties and on occasion, assist the Finance Team during busy times.
Work Location: Brentwood, TN. This role is fully onsite.
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm, one hour lunch.
Pay: $50,000 - $55,000, depending on experience

Responsibilities:
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
- Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications using Checkr and E-Verify.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Prepare offer letters and assist with recruitment efforts, including posting jobs, conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews, calling references, and managing candidate communications.
- Organize and lead annual benefit open enrollment with our benefit broker.
- Conduct bi-weekly payroll processing for 100+ employees.
- Plan and coordinate company events (summer picnic and holiday party), employee gifts, and recognition programs (anniversaries, birthdays, etc.).
- Handle companywide announcements and internal communications.
- Develop and update HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment laws.
- Manage building maintenance service coordination and office support needs.
- Maintain and update HRIS and employee records.
- Address employee relations inquiries and provide HR support.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or related field or equivalent experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
- Experience with Paylocity is a plus, but not required.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus, but not required.
