This position assigned to the Fleet Management Department will serve as the Vehicle Title and Registration clerk requiring a Notary Seal within 90 days of hire. Incumbent will coordinate Fuel System regulatory compliance, maintain tank inventory, reconcile fuel cards, import/export fuel transaction data and requisition bulk fuel purchases. Incumbent will serve as the Human Resources Liaison for the Department by attending monthly meetings, processing payroll. engaging employees with benefit updates as needed and data entry. The ability to maintain confidentiality is paramount.

Position Duties

  • Prepares, maintains, reviews, and submits reports, records, logs, manuals, forms, plans, purchase orders, meeting agendas, files, rosters, training materials, and other documents; processes payments; updates and maintains databases and online systems; performs basic research; compiles, verifies and/or reconciles information; reviews work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinates scheduling and logistics for training events; performs basic troubleshooting and user assistance for technology issues, routes complex technology issues to applicable staff/departments; tracks and monitors budgets and expenditures
  • Collaborates with City departments, vendors, instructors, community groups, and/or external agencies to coordinate information, respond to inquiries and concerns, and assist with project and/or program logistics
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business administration or  field related to assignment OR equivalent experience.
  • Three years of experience related to assignment.

Other Qualifications

  • North Carolina Public Notary may be preferred for some assignments.
  • Basic knowledge of the NC vehicle title and tag process.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with Regulatory Compliance within any industry.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel.
