The Managing Director, Head of Distribution – U.S. Retirement Investments is responsible for overseeing and driving national sales efforts across multiple regions and distribution channels within the U.S. Retirement Investments Distribution organization. This role develops the US Retirement Investments distribution strategy, drives sales execution, and fosters collaboration across internal business partners and executive leaders to deliver on growth objectives. As the senior-most distribution leader for the U.S. Retirement Investments Distribution team, this individual is accountable for delivering results through regional leadership, talent development, and evolving distribution capabilities to meet the needs of advisors, intermediaries, and internal partners.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of regional IO Market Directors across the U.S. Provide strategic direction, performance management, and talent development across the retirement distribution team.
- Develop and drive the national distribution strategy in collaboration with internal partners and channel leads. Develop and implement business plans, goals, and sales targets across regions and channels.
- Manage and maintain retirement relationships with Broker/Dealers, RIAs, Consultants, and DCIO Recordkeeper counterparts (intermediaries) to promote Principal Funds and/or other Principal affiliated entity products (as decided by channel) at a regional/national level. Work closely with the Focus Firm management to develop unique business plans/goals for key distribution partners.
- Collaborate with internal leaders on marketing, product development, sales ideas, promotional materials, and sales campaigns, as they relate to Principal investment strategies.
- Work closely with senior management to develop overall sales goals, coordination with Portfolio management team, shareholder servicing, and operations.

Who You Are:• Bachelor's degree required plus strong product knowledge and 15 or more years of experience marketing/selling variable investment products
• FINRA Licensing required including SIE or equivalent, series 7, 24, and 66
• Life and Health Insurance Licenses required for all states in which business will be conducted.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and relationship-building skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop marketing plans with the flexibility to adapt to opportunities and industry changes
• This position may be subject to SEC restrictions on personal political contributions
• Overnight travel is required to fulfill responsibilities of national travel objectives 50-70% required.
