We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Regional Accounting Lead to support the day-to-day accounting operations within our insurance brokerage firm.
This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of financial processes related to commissions, payables,receivables, and banking.
The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in agency management systems.
Direct Bill Commission Management:
Oversee the processing and reconciliation of direct bill commissions, ensuring timely and accurate recordingAccounts Receivable Oversight:
Review and monitor the company’s accounts receivable process, ensuring proper invoicing, collections, and aging analysisCarrier Payables Management:
Manage carrier payable processes including reconciliation, payment scheduling, and dispute resolutionProducer/Broker Commission Reconciliation:
Ensure accurate calculation and timely payment of producer and broker commissionsVendor Payables:
Oversee vendor payment processes, including invoice verification, approval workflows, and payment executionBanking & Cash Management:
Manage banking relationships, monitor cash flow, and perform bank reconciliationsProcess Improvement & Best Practices:
Identify and implement industry best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across accounting functionsSystem Utilization:
Leverage agency management systems such as Applied Epic, AMS360, Benefit Point, and Brokerage Builder to streamline operations and reporting
Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience in the insurance brokerage industry
Strong understanding of brokerage operations and commission structures
Proficiency in Applied Epic, AMS360, Benefit Point, and Brokerage Builder
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Experience with financial reporting and audit preparation
Familiarity with regulatory compliance in insurance accounting
Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools
This job requires presence in the office on a hybrid schedule as agreed with the manager.

Salary range is $100K to $120K per year.
