Description: Pre-K Paraprofessional - Full Time

Terms of Employment:  10 Month Employee - temporary for the school year

Reports to:  Building Principal

Salary:  Current paraprofessional salary schedule

Minimum Qualifications:

Para Pro Assessment OR Associate Degree or its equivalent (60) college credits to obtain para certification thru DEEDS
Experience working with students
Ability to Work with individuals and small groups of children.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all employees.
Must be physically able to lift up to 40-50 lbs. periodically.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assisting the Teacher in Preparing instructional materials to be used in the program.
Working with assigned children under the teacher’s direction.
Administering and scoring appropriate screenings and assessments required by the program.
Performing other duties as assigned or required by the program.
Establishing and maintaining high standards of student behavior consistent with district and school policies.
Taking all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment and facilities.
Supervising the students throughout the day.
Completing record keeping tasks assigned by the teacher.
Riding the school bus as needed to monitor and assist with the safe transportation of assigned children (ie. field trips).
Assisting in unique needs for students which includes bathrooming and/or diapering.
Must be able to teach/serve the educational needs of students remotely and in person.
Performing other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Favorable Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check for the candidate who is offered employment
Tuberculin Test and physical
Mandatory Direct Deposit of paycheck
