About the Role:

The Creative Director will lead culturally resonant, multichannel branded content campaigns for My Code’s top advertisers. Reporting to the Head Of Branded Content, this role is embedded within My Code’s in-house content studio and collaborates closely with sales, marketing, research, project management, and production teams to bring culturally rooted, deeply engaging brand stories to life. You’ll lead creative strategy and visual direction on custom campaigns from pre- to post-sale, ensuring that every brand collaboration is bold, relevant, and deeply connected to the audiences we serve. The ideal candidate has expertise in social-first storytelling, creator activation, and innovative visual formats that will engage today’s consumer and deliver real impact for our advertising partners. 

Responsibilities:

Creative Strategy & Campaign Development

  • Develop culturally relevant custom campaign concepts that deliver on advertiser goals across digital, creator, and experiential channels
  • Collaborate closely with Client Solutions to craft compelling proposals that address brief objectives while showcasing My Code’s differentiated POV.
  • Interpret creative briefs and insights into powerful, audience-first concepts for Gen Z and multicultural consumers.

Executional Oversight & Production Partnership

  • Guide creative execution from pitch through production, ensuring consistency in tone, visuals, and brand storytelling.
  • Collaborate with internal designers, editors, producers, and talent teams to bring ideas to life across social-first formats, branded content, and influencer-led activations.
  • Maintain hands-on involvement where necessary—writing scripts, sketching storyboards, crafting decks, and reviewing outputs for creative excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the Client Solutions team to ensure creative recommendations are platform-optimized, performance-aware, and culturally attuned.
  • Participate in client presentations and brainstorms, helping establish My Code’s creative credibility and thought leadership.
  • Help refine and evolve our creative frameworks and studio processes as the company grows and scales.

Qualifications:

  • 7-8+ years of experience in creative roles at media companies, content studios, or agencies, including experience leading branded content or integrated campaigns.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing digital-first campaigns, social content, creator collaborations, and creative that connects with underrepresented or Gen Z audiences.
  • Deep knowledge of platform-native storytelling across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging media formats.
  • A passion for multicultural marketing, diverse storytelling, and purpose-led creative work.
  • Excellent concepting, deck-building, writing, and/or art direction skills, able to clearly articulate a creative vision internally and externally.
  • Collaborative mindset and experience working with cross-disciplinary teams including strategy, media, and production.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Slides, Keynote, and relevant creative platforms; art or video background is a plus
  • Deep passion for culture, community, and purpose-driven brand work.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000. The base salary structure is determined on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
