Overview
Primarily responsible for the review, organization, and management of aircraft, landing gear and engine records, with knowledge of establishing “back-to-birth” trace documentation for Life Limited Parts (LLP) in chronological order of events, as well as a keen understanding of Airworthiness Directive (AD) and Service Bulletin (SB) compliance processes and reporting. Keen knowledge of landing gear and APU records is a plus.
Specific Accountabilities
- Review of aircraft and engine records and LLPs for purchase, lease or sales
- Organize storage and maintain aircraft and engine records and their components
- Ensure accurate posting, tracking and filing of aircraft and engines records per company standards
- Research and verify compliance of Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins where applicable
- Generate LLP Summaries, create LLP traceability packages as well as AD and SB Status Reports
- Contact operators and/or OEM’s for missing documentation or records corrections when required
- Duplicate and/or create electronic records as needed (borescope inspection videos/DVDs and CDs)
- Generate data packs for internal and external customers, sales, marketing, etc.
- Review technical documentation provided by OEM’s, MRO’s, Trading and Sales Teams
- Communicate with customers in regard to records questions and concerns
- Support pre-purchase inspections, return to service maintenance, ferry flights, import/export process, teardowns and various other programs on both aircraft and engines.
- Other duties as assigned to meet business needs
Qualifications/Requirements

- Minimum of 7 years of relevant engine and/or aircraft records experience
- Engineering degree and/or FAA A&P preferred
- Previous Quality Control or Aircraft and Engine Records experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of various aircraft and engine maintenance documentation
- Detail oriented with an eye for continuous improvement
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment
- Proficiency with software packages (Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to travel worldwide for records reviews
- Ability to solve problems under pressure
- Strong customer service orientation
