Hybrid Machine Shop chez HFGP

SUMMARY

Machine Shop employees use automated and manual processes and machines, and various metal, plastic and other materials to produce high quality components and meet productivity standards. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performs various lathe, mill, drill and tap operations on components and surfaces
• Machines components manually or by use of automated equipment according to instruction and specification
• Applies adhesives or fasteners to assemble components 
• Performs quality inspection on castings and other raw materials, before and after machining
• Maintains manual scrap production records
• Work cross functionally with other teams, with the aim of continuous improvement
• Performs daily housekeeping responsibilities to maintain high cleanliness standards
• Comply with and adhere to applicable safety and work rules and requirements
• Comply with and adhere to all applicable ISO standards
  • Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION

• Strong hand-eye coordination
• Ability to use hand tools such as measuring devices, drills, calipers and operate machinery 
• Ability to continually lift and grasp
• This role typically operates on the production floor with prolonged periods of standing. Requires the ability to tolerate a manufacturing environment that can present fumes, moving mechanical parts, vibration, loud noises and is not air conditioned.
• Must wear personal protective equipment as determined appropriate by Company.
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to take directions and follow instructions
• Good verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks
• Ability to adapt to challenges and changes which arise in course of the day (e.g. changes in production schedule)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience operating CNC machine
