JOB DUTIES:
- Create a positive working environment that facilitates exceptional service and drives sales
- Build customer relationships and employee engagement
- Prioritizes and plan work activities for self and store managers as applicable
- Support store managers with recruitment efforts, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Coach and counsel employees
- Plan and monitor job performance; build motivation and commitment by utilizing the performance review system
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of store operation results
- Ensures audit controls are followed to protect the company from unnecessary risk and exposure
- Establish and maintain proper expense controls in order to stay within budget and explain any significant variances
- Ensures safety, health, and security policies are practiced and in place
- Perform various store duties on an as needed basis
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of experience managing in a retail/wholesale environment with at least 10 employees leading and directing the work of others
- Ability to develop strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Working knowledge of various computer software including Microsoft Suite.
- Significant travel in the region required with occasional visits to the corporate office
Preferred Experience: Bachelors or Associate degree in general business, marketing, finance, or sales and 5 years of experience in the auto parts business and store operations
