Nurse Educator - Per diem

Summary

Lynn Community Health Center seeks a temporary Nurse Educator to join our team for the fall of 2025. This individual will supplement the role of LCHC’s full-time Nurse Educator, working collaboratively to support the Nursing Division through an exciting period of growth as we implement new programs to better serve our patients and community.

Scope of responsibility

The scope of the responsibility and accountability for the Nurse Educator aligns with professional standards and continuously evolves to meet the demands of the practice setting. This position functions primarily within the Nursing Division but is engaged in interprofessional collaboration. The position has no direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates orientation classes for new hires
• Ensures orientation content aligns with policies and procedures
• Manages new hire competency assessment process
• Coordinates with department managers to ensure completion of annual competencies 
• Develops, implements, and evaluates education programs to address identified practice gaps and learning needs

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Minimum associate’s degree in nursing; BSN preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of nursing experience; Community Health Center or other ambulatory care experience preferred
• Experience as a preceptor, clinical instructor, or other teaching role preferred
• Comfort with Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and with diverse, multi-disciplinary groups
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving department needs
