Position:Rockefeller Capital Management is looking for an Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organization focused on serving sophisticated clients across wealth management, asset management, and strategic advisory. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including regulatory filings and audited financial statement
- Present monthly financial results and key performance indicators to Senior Management, highlighting trends, variances, and actionable insights
- Month-End Close Process
- Lead and support the monthly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with departments across the firm to gather and validate financial data, ensuring accurate revenue and expense recognition
- Investigate and explain fluctuations in financial statements, providing clear documentation and analysis
- Audit & Compliance
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for interim and year-end audits
- Liaise with external auditors and respond to audit inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Process Improvement & Technology Integration
- Collaborate with Finance and Technology teams to identify opportunities for process automation and simplification, including the use of AI-driven tools
- Contribute to the design and implementation of best practices in financial operations and reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA, strongly preferred
- 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within financial services or a similarly complex environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- A collaborative team player with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $135,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
