The Site Supervisor is responsible for the on-site execution of installation and commissioning activities for automated parcel logistics systems. This position ensures all work is completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and in compliance with customer requirements, local regulations, and industry standards. The role includes coordination of internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and third-party contractors, serving as the primary on-site point of contact for field operations. Responsibilities include monitoring daily site performance, enforcing safety and quality protocols, managing documentation and reporting, and facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders.
Your role in our team
- Lead on-site installation activities from mobilization through commissioning.
- Supervise internal installation technicians and manage mechanical and electrical subcontractors to ensure work is performed per specifications.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality benchmarks, and customer KPIs.
- Coordinate daily work of subcontractors, suppliers, and internal installation teams.
- Enforce site cleanliness, organization, and strict compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.
- Serve as the primary on-site liaison with customer project managers, construction managers, and third-party contractors.
- Report daily progress, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies to both the customer and internal leadership.
- Respond to issues and escalations promptly per customer communication protocols.
- Foster a professional, collaborative site culture aligned with customer expectations.
- Complete and submit daily reports, safety audits, change logs, and other project documentation accurately and on time.
- Obtain and manage required site permits, certifications, and customer-specific sign-offs.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, customer-specific requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety, schedule, and team alignment.
Your profile
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or trade certification in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical technology required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field is a plus.
- At least five years’ experience working in high-volume parcel supply chain as a superintendent or equivalent required.
- Experience in customer-facing field service roles required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, OSHA) are a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience engaging with enterprise customers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead under pressure in dynamic installation environments.
- Proficient in project planning and tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet).
- Deep understanding of industrial equipment installation practices and sequencing.
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and customer-specific EHS protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks to support successful site delivery.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders or stairs, work in confined spaces or at heights, and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Frequently works in warehouse or outdoor environments exposed to noise, dust, temperature changes, and moving equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently (up to 90%), including weekends and extended overnight stays.
