About the Role: 

Entry Level position responsible for building and editing terminal files for select POS terminals. 


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Uses intuition and experience to complement data.

  • Provides support of agent/Independent Sales Organizations with service and sales issues.  

  • Ensures clients receive required service within established time frames.

  • Processes orders/changes according to established department policies and procedures. 

  • Works on different vendor applications to accomplish tasks.  

  • Manages difficult or emotional customer situations and responds promptly. Responds to requests to improve service.

  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; able to handle a situation under pressure and find a solution; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

  • Meets productivity standards and expectations. Strives to increase productivity.

  • Balances team and individual responsibilities, contributes to building a positive team spirit, and puts success of team above own interests.


What Success Looks Like:

Success in a POS Technical Specialist I role typically means effectively supporting and managing the technical aspects of POS systems, ensuring that they run smoothly for retail or hospitality businesses. 

  • Problem Solving: Diagnosing and troubleshooting POS system issues quickly and accurately.
  • Timely Support: Providing quick and effective support to internal teams or clients, whether through phone, email, or on-site.
  • Training & Knowledge Transfer: Helping staff understand how to operate POS. 
  • Customer Impact: Making sure that the point-of-sale experience is smooth, contributing to an excellent customer experience.


Candidate Requirements:

  • High School degree and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Follows instructions and responds to management directions; takes responsibility for actions.

  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment and includes appropriate people in the decision-making process. 

  • Writes and speaks clearly and uses correct grammar. Responds positively to questions.

  • Focus on attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation range: $20/hr - $22/hr
