*The below referenced job duties have been provided by the client:
Basic Functions: To establish and implement consistent procedures to be used by all estimators. To manage a team of approximately 8-10 Estimating Engineers by establishing assignments, schedules, and priorities and checking their work for technical correctness and compliance with corporate procedures.
Major Duties:
- Review and improve existing estimating procedures, confirming departmental consistency
- Establish and guide departmental and employees' roles and objectives
- Assign, schedule, and prioritize workload among the Estimating department
- Review all technical proposals for design correctness and compliance with estimating procedures
- Ensure compliance with established deadlines
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of design per ASME Sec VIII Div. 1, as well as fabrication and estimating methods related to pressure vessel and heat exchanger manufacturing
- In-depth knowledge of the various Materials of Construction in ASME Sec. II
- Basic understanding of thermal process & familiarity with HTRI
Skills
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications

- Must be consistent in thought processes and work methodology

License Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement
- Professional Engineer License desired
Specific Skills:
- Seeking to mentor younger engineers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook or similar software.
- Experienced with discipline-specific computer applications (i.e., ETAP, STAAD, CAESAR, etc.).
- Communication – good oral and written skills are required.
- Knowledge of regulatory codes and requirements in the related discipline required.
- Knowledge related to design in discipline field expected.
- Knowledge of key aspects of Civil, Mechanical, I/E and Chemical Engineering
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year.
- Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break.
- Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
- Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
- Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.
- Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.
