MISSION:

 

Build, attract, & motivate a high-performing & sustainable sales team. Allocate & manage resources, coordinate & fund program rollouts, and foster a customer-centric environment. Accountable for the profitability, sales growth and success of BM and retailers in the market. Provide short & long-term strategic and functional direction to support the Company's business objectives.

 

TEAM DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP:

  • Build, lead, and maintain a cohesive, collaborative team to realize objectives
  • Manage team effectiveness; establish goals and clarify expectations; ensure proper training & development systems are in place; give timely and accurate performance feedback and mentor others; groom employees for advancement
  • Understand how to leverage and source resources and information; know how to work collaboratively within the organization, readily establishing business relationships
  • Lead and encourage employee development by identifying educational and training needs

 

GROW THE BUSINESS/LOCAL MARKET KNOWLEDGE:

  • Execute and implement the established strategies balanced by tactical realities to support BM direction and sales growth in the market
  • Evaluate the marketplace to stay ahead of trends; know what customers want; understand the concept of leveraging the brand and incorporate it in all business activities
  • Utilize key business indicators and analytical methodology to drive decision-making within the market to make optimal use of resources to create profitability

 

BUSINESS PLANNING:

  • Selling strategies to all customer segment groups
  • Price & product strategies
  • Market assessment and prioritization
  • Top & bottom-line business improvement plans
  • Marketing & event plans
  • P&L/Balance Sheet accountability with metrics
  • Budgeting, volume forecasting, SG&A, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 plus years of equivalent business experience and a college degree or certification strongly preferred
  • Strong coaching, managing, and mentoring skills
  • Ideal candidate will be based in a major metropolitan area within the Western region, ideally near Benjamin Moore operations or in one of our key markets
  • Ability to make strategic, operational, and administrative decisions in response to emerging conditions and environmental circumstances
  • Strategic, business, financial planning knowledge and abilities
  • Ability to interpret and communicate mission and value concepts to a wide range of internal and external representatives
  • Capable of dealing with ambiguity
  • Outstanding interpersonal & communication skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Excellent presentation skills are required
  • Business planning knowledge and abilities
  • Market assessment knowledge and abilities
  • Tactical alignment knowledge, abilities, and agility 
  • General management knowledge and abilities, including Finance, Legal, HR Operations, Logistics, and Marketing 

Compensation Philosophy

In addition to a competitive base salary, every exempt and non-exempt role in our organization is eligible for a performance-based annual raise and bonus in recognition of their efforts that contribute to the success of our organization. We conduct regular pay audits using external market data and internal comparisons to ensure our employees are compensated fairly and equitably.

 

The salary range listed herein refers to the amount the Company is willing to pay at the time of posting. The actual salary offer will be carefully considered based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, job location, and other relevant factors.
