Hybrid Forklift Operator II (GA,TX) chez JBSS Inc.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator II to join our warehouse team. This role requires proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment and performing tasks across receiving, warehousing, and distribution functions. The ideal candidate will have prior forklift experience, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick orders for outbound shipments and store inbound items for receiving (70%)
• Rotate inventory using FIFO method
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and report equipment deficiencies
• Operate hand-held scanning equipment accurately and responsibly
• Load and unload trucks, verify received goods, sign Bills of Lading, and apply License Plates
• Perform location audits and verify inventory accuracy
• Inspect trucks and document findings
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
• Adhere to food safety and quality standards including GMP, HACCP, FSMA, and SQF
• Report food safety and quality issues promptly
• Support a culture of safety through safe work practices and hazard reporting

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–2 years of forklift operation experience
• Knowledge: Understanding of safe forklift operation and warehouse procedures
• Skills: Basic math skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Information

• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
• In the event of absence, coverage will be provided by an equally qualified team member designated by the Department Supervisor.
