The Role
Are you a rising finance professional with 3–5 years of experience and a passion for innovation? As Finance Associate, you will play a key role in supporting Waterworks’ international operations while working closely with our US based finance team and cross-functional partners. You’ll be a trusted advisor across departments, providing financial expertise, insights, and support to drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
Eligible applicants must reside in Portugal and be able to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week in our Porto Office. Waterworks will not provide relocation or sponsorship for this role.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with U.S. finance and business teams to ensure alignment on financial planning, reporting, and analysis
Provide monthly and quarterly analysis and forecasts for operating income, cash flows, and balance sheet
Manage daily cash flow and support treasury strategy
Publish regular financial reports and ad hoc analyses to support business needs
Participate in the Annual Operating Planning process and contribute to strategic analyses for senior leadership
Support continuous improvement and modernization of finance processes through AI-driven tools and automation
Other accountabilities as assigned
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in finance, ideally within a manufacturing or product-based environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset
A proactive, resourceful approach and a desire to grow within a dynamic, international team
Interest in leveraging technology and automation to enhance financial operations
