Position Summary:
Hampton Construction is seeking a Residential Field Supervisor to lead on-site construction operations and ensure successful execution of residential projects from start to finish. This role combines field supervision with key project management responsibilities to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to our high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Supervision:
- Oversee daily on-site activities for residential construction projects
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, and laborers
- Ensure job site safety compliance and cleanliness
- Perform quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets Hampton Construction standards
- Interpret blueprints, specs, and construction documents
Project Management Support:
- Collaborate with Project Managers to develop and maintain construction schedules
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify issues or delays
- Assist with procurement of materials and equipment
- Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with local building codes
- Maintain accurate project documentation, daily logs, and field reports
- Attend project meetings and communicate updates to clients and internal teams
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in residential construction, with supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of residential building methods, codes, and safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Proficiency with construction scheduling tools and basic project management software
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
