Hybrid Nurse Practitioner chez THE CENTER FOR RHEUMATOLOGY LLP

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

1. Perform comprehensive      and problem focused history and physical exams.
2. Formulate a differential      diagnosis and establish a working diagnosis.
3. Interpret and correlate      lab and imaging results.
4. Formulate a treatment      plan exercising judgment on problems requiring consultation, referral or      evaluation by the supervising MD.
5. Perform diagnostic and      therapeutic procedures including joint and bursa aspirations/injections,      injections of tendons and trigger points.
6. Order and interpret      diagnostic imaging, i.e. x-rays, DEXA, MRI, CT, bone scans as well as      EKG’s.
7. Order, prescribe,      dispense and administer medications.
8. Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose      and treat diseases and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment      alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive healthcare      measures.
9. Complete accurate patient coding for effective billing,      maintain accurate and detailed patient medical reports, and maintain      inventory of medical supplies and instruments.
10. Serve as      a resource and team leader during clinical shifts to ensure the smooth      flow of patient processing, treatment and discharge including patient      triaging.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience

• Registered Nurse Practitioner is required;
• Valid NYS license and registration.    
• Valid and current DEA license.
