Raleigh Radiology is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Administrative Operations to oversee and lead all non-clinical departments across our freestanding outpatient imaging centers in Wake County and surrounding areas. About the Role
The Manager of Administrative Operations plays a key leadership role overseeing front-end administrative functions across multiple outpatient imaging locations. This may include Scheduling, Insurance Authorization, Order Entry, Registration, and Medical Records, depending on department structure.
You will partner closely with the Vice President of Operations, and other senior leaders to drive operational efficiency, support staff success, and deliver a seamless, patient-centered experience.
? Key Responsibilities
Administrative Leadership (70%)
- Lead and manage all non-clinical operations and clerical teams
- Oversee staffing, hiring, training, and performance management
- Ensure accurate scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and data collection
- Maintain staffing schedules and ensure adequate departmental coverage
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures
- Monitor supply inventory and purchasing decisions
Operational Excellence (20%)
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Evaluate and refine procedures to ensure accurate patient records
- Collaborate with team members and departments to ensure high-quality service
- Respond to patient concerns and assist with escalations as needed
Safety & Compliance (5%)
- Ensure all staff follow safety and infection control protocols
- Maintain readiness of equipment and compliance with OSHA standards
- Prepare staff for emergency responses and incident reporting
Additional Responsibilities (5%)
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and employee information
- Serve as a team player and positive role model across the organization
Qualifications
- High school graduation required. Priority consideration will be given to candidates with college degree in business administration, health care administration, or other business or health related degree.
- Three years’ experience working in hospital or medical practice leadership role. Proven management experience preferred.
- Familiarity with front-end radiology workflows (e.g., scheduling, registration, authorizations) strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of front-end radiology operations preferred
- Proven track record of effective team leadership and cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Commitment to patient-first service and staff development
