JOB SUMMARY:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of complex accounting tasks, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, as well as providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Senior Accountant job responsibilities would include but not be limited to:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and review complex account reconciliations, ensuring proper documentation and resolution of variances.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and areas of concern.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise and support decision-making processes.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Participate in audits, both internal and external, by providing documentation and responding to inquiries as needed.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
- CPA desired.
Working Conditions: Work is carried out in an office environment.
Safety Requirements: Must follow all safety rules and exhibit safe work practices.
Travel: Minimal.
Activity: 10% standing, 75% sitting, 15% walking.
Requirements
Minimum Skills and Experience:
- 5 years of relevant experience, preferably including public accounting or in a similar role.
- Experience with the preparation of financial statements.
- Experience with the preparations of SEC filings in a plus.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including US GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
