Job Summary
A Catholic Classroom Aide supports the classroom teacher in creating a Christ-centered, academically excellent learning environment that fosters the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth of each student. The instructional aid will assist in implementing lesson plans, providing individualized support to students, and maintaining a classroom atmosphere aligned with the mission and vision of the school.
Job Responsibilities
Faith Formation & Instructional Support
Model and integrate Catholic values in all classroom activities and interactions.
Assist with liturgies, prayer services, and faith-based celebrations.
Support the teacher in implementing lesson plans, preparing materials, and integrating technology.
Provide individualized or small-group academic support to meet diverse learning needs.
Student Development & Classroom Management
Foster a respectful, Christ-centered environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.
Monitor student behavior, assist with routines and transitions, and support classroom organization.
Community Engagement
Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
Participate in school events, service projects, and activities that reflect Catholic values and mission.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in education or a related field preferred.
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
- Familiarity with Catholic teachings and a commitment to faith-based education.
- Experience working with children in an educational or similar setting preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic proficiency in using educational technology and tools.
