The College Nurse position is responsible for the management of the SUNY CCC Health Services Office in all areas of health services, education, and programming for students and staff. This position is Part-Time and will be up to 25 hours per week as scheduled.Occasional meetings at different CCC locations and in the community may be required; travel to conferences and/or recruiting events may be required. Prolonged time sitting/standing working with computers and monitors, ability to walk/move across campus including walking up and down stairs, ability to lift up to 20 pounds (occasionally may be more), repeated motions may include keyboard typing. Typical office and indoor building environments, occasional outdoor activity may be required. Incumbent must perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation. Position Duties
Nursing (30%) -
- Administer first aid, hygiene, general health and emergency services to students, staff, and visitors.
Administrative (30%) -
- Perform data entry and assist with records maintenance, including verification of NYS immunization requirements and waivers.
Outreach (20%) -
- Create, implement and support outreach programs regarding health and wellness issues, particularly those directly impacting the health and academic success of students.
Miscellaneous (10%) -
- Establish and maintain community relationships and make appropriate referrals to area health care providers and human service organizations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Physical condition commensurate with demands of the position
- Demonstrates commitment to accomplishing work in an ethical, efficient, and cost-effective manner
- Ability to effectively convey information verbally and in writing, demonstrate effective listening skills, and display respect for and openness to other people’s ideas and thoughts
- Ability to accept changes to job requirements, policies, workload, etc., as well as learn new methods, procedures, or techniques resulting from change with the ability to clearly approach problems and find solutions

Other Qualifications
Current NYS RN license
AS Degree in Nursing
Current First Aid/CPR and AED certifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Two years of experience in public health or a college setting is preferred
Knowledge of NYS Public Health Law compliance and reporting requirements
