Goshen Homes, a division of Goshen Valley Foundation, recruits, trains, licenses, and supports foster families taking in sibling groups of 3 or more in the state of Georgia and is seeking a Home Licensing Coordinator.
The Home Licensing Coordinator will play a crucial role in assessing the sustainability of prospective foster parents and ensuring compliance with agency standards and regulatory requirements.
Including:
- Determines sustainability of prospective foster parents. This includes preparation of comprehensive SAFE evaluation, interviewing of foster applicants to evaluate the family’s motivation, functioning and dynamics, and collecting and interpreting collateral information. Assessment is completed according to agency standards for foster competencies and in line with our regulatory bodies. Will communicate any safety concerns to their supervisor.
- Will hold a caseload of current or pending families for initial studies and re-evaluations. This includes kinship, primary and respite families.
- Ensures current practices and policies are in compliance with all regulatory bodies: RCC, OPM, DFCS and COA.
- Assists the recruitment team in the selection of foster parents and participate and assist with IMPACT classes.
- Ensures that all home study paperwork is uploaded and managed in Extended Reach and into GA Score.
- Ensures accuracy of all records, reports, and documentation and maintains organized files.
- Ensures that re-evaluations & addendum(s) are completed accurately and on time to maintain home licenses for current foster homes.
- Ensures Home Study assessments and documents meet the requirements set forth by DFCS, RCC, OPM and COA.
- Participates in the onboarding of new home study staff as needed.

Requirements
Home Licensing Coordinator Job Requirements:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with an official transcript or documentations of the degree will be required. If the degree is in an unrelated field, an approved waiver from the State of Georgia DHS will be required along with the approval by the Board of Goshen Homes. In lieu of a Master’s Degree, a Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of experience will be accepted.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field of human services. Documentation from previous employers, job descriptions, and employee evaluations shall be required for the verification.
- Must be NTDC & SAFE certified.
- The Home licensing coordinator will be required to have a criminal background check completed through GAPS Cogent System and must be cleared by DHS with all required CPS and Safety Checks prior to employment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be of good character and supportive of the programs, policies, and ideals of GVF.
- Must be able to pass a drug and background check, possess a valid driver’s license, and be insurable by GVF insurance carrier.
