Hill Bros is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Personnel Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This part-time position will play a vital role in supporting our company’s growth by managing non-driver recruiting efforts, ensuring a positive candidate experience, and helping maintain compliance and HR systems.


What You’ll Do

• Manage the full recruiting process for non-driver positions, from posting roles to coordinating onboarding.

• Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, update job descriptions, and evaluate candidates.

• Maintain and optimize our recruiting tools and HRIS for efficiency and accuracy.

• Coordinate HR-related new hire training and ensure job descriptions are signed within the first week of employment.

• Promote our company’s purpose, passion, and values throughout the recruiting and onboarding process.

• Assist with HR training or development initiatives as needed.

• Support compliance and process improvement projects within HR.


Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Education/Experience: Associate’s degree in HR or related field preferred; HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus. At least 5 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or employee development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills: Strong communication, organization, and time management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.

Strengths: Ability to balance confidentiality with approachability, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain accuracy in fast-paced environments.

• Familiarity with training coordination or employee development programs is beneficial.


Work Schedule

• Part-Time, In-Person at our Omaha headquarters.

• Monday–Friday with consistent hours. Typical schedule is 9:30am–3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch.

• Fewer than 30 hours per week.
