The A.C. Coy Company is currently seeking candidates for a Business Analyst role. This individual will work closely between Software Development and Operations teams to identify and create business cases for internal business systems and client-facing applications, defining each project’s objectives, scope, and detailed requirements. Our ideal candidate is a strong communicator with 2 or more years of experience functioning as a Business Analyst in an Agile software development environment.

Responsibilities:- Identifies and creates business cases for new systems or improvements to existing systems; defines the project’s objectives, scope, and detailed requirements
- Conducts initial investigation into new or enhanced solutions, building a solid business case and advocating for initiating the project
- Works with operational teams to document business process workflows used to train team members and identify potential bottlenecks
- Provides a user-based perspective to design, development, and user experience concerns
- Performs User Acceptance Testing evaluating functional and non-functional performance of the system prior to launch
- Serves as a liaison between development team and end-users
- Develops appropriate application training and delivers audience-appropriate training
- Conducts regular reviews and analysis of current business processes using operational metrics and reports
Required:
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or related role in an Agile development environment
- Specific experience gathering requirements for new software applications
- Excellent communication skills; Able to communicate professionally and clearly with technical and non-technical team members
- Ability to write basic SQL queries
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (requirements, designs, risks, project planning, etc) and agile software methods such as Scrum
- Basic knowledge of web applications, desktop applications and databases
- Experience with training and supporting internal and external users on software solutions
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Any experience with MS Access or Power BI
