JOB OVERVIEW:
The Regional IT Manager oversees and coordinates all IT-related activities within the assigned region, with a strong focus on ensuring alignment and enforcement of Corporate IT guidance, guidelines, and standards. This includes planning and managing regional IT operations, leading support teams, ensuring infrastructure stability, and executing corporate strategies locally. The role also ensures compliance with global IT policies while supporting rig activations, deactivations, and relocations, and delivering high-quality customer service.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position is in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Management
• Oversee IT operations across rigs, shore-based offices, and remote locations within the assigned region.
• Plan, organize, control, and evaluate regional IT and data operations for compliance and efficiency.
• Ensure systems are reliable, secure, and scalable to meet business demands.
2. Leadership and Team Development
• Manage and coach regional IT staff by setting clear expectations, appraising performance, and developing skills.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, customer service, and accountability.
• Ensure team readiness for rig activations, deactivations, and relocations.
3. System and Infrastructure Governance
• Enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to meet corporate compliance.
• Manage backup systems, network security, and data protection protocols.
• Ensure high system availability and efficient recovery processes.
4. IT Service Delivery and Support
• Support shore and rig users with high-quality, timely IT services, including ticket escalations.
• Ensure consistent resolution of SNOW incidents, service requests, and email-based queries.
• Engage vendors and partners as needed to address escalated support issues.
5. Budget and Resource Management
• Manage regional IT budget between $1M–$4M annually, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Control resource allocation for hardware, software, services, and projects.
6. Strategic Execution and Improvement
• Identify and resolve critical IT issues with sustainable, strategic solutions.
• Support deployment of global initiatives locally and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in the development and alignment of global IT strategy.
7. Knowledge Sharing and Documentation
• Create and maintain Knowledge Base articles for regional systems and recurring issues.
• Promote knowledge sharing across IT teams, including best practices and lessons learned.
8. Security and Compliance
• Ensure infrastructure and users follow security protocols, including password and data management.
• Proactively identify risks and escalate vulnerabilities for resolution.
Requirements
To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent (experience in lieu of degree accepted).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in regional or enterprise-level IT management roles.
- Proficiency in infrastructure support, network systems, and IT service delivery.
- Experience managing offshore or remote support teams.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and presentation abilities.
- Strong understanding of ITIL practices and service management platforms like ServiceNow.
- Ability to manage budgets, vendors, and resources effectively.
- Familiarity with rig environments and remote connectivity technologies is a plus.
