Duties
Plans, develops, markets, and executes diversified, innovative, needs-based social, cultural, installation-wide special events ,community programs and unit cohesion activities to support authorized users of Force Support Squadron facilities and programs. Designs programmed activities to directly support( unit cohesion, improve lethality of Airmen and resiliency for the Airmen and their families. Develops programs and events based both on the installation needs and available support in the surrounding community. Develops and maintains networked and integrated opportunities with various external agencies, businesses, community, professional associations, local colleges, universities, parks and recreation departments, commercial vendors, and national organizations. Develops appropriated and non-appropriated budgets. Responsible for protection of assets and financial resources. Supports the agency's EEO program through allocation of personnel to participate in community outreach and recruitment programs, ensures full cooperation of employees with EEO office officials. Responds to communication through various venues pertaining to unit, military member and their families regarding programs. Develops plans and coordinates with other agencies to execute programs, community activities, special events ,and networked plans to maximize resources. Assists with the development of marketing strategies, event publicity and promotions, and customer engagement strategies. Coordinates with activity managers and marketing to develop annual activity program calendars, marketing and strategic plans that directly support unit cohesion and improve readiness and lethality of Airmen. Captures, develops and maintains information on a variety of community programs on or off the installation. Ensures programs and special events are properly staffed with qualified personnel. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Knowledge of community readiness programs and its relationship to the Air Force's mission, functions, organization, major issues, work processes, goals, objectives, and programs in order to plan, develop, and implement programs designed to improve and maintain Air Force family readiness and quality of life. Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and precedents affecting the use of resources to implement the Air Force family and community programs. Skill as a facilitator and coordinator to mentor family members and volunteers and represents the installation on family programs and skill in working with diverse personalities to ensure program success and minimize conflicts. The supervisor defines broad objectives and sets certain priorities. The incumbent plans, implements, and administers all aspects of the program with considerable freedom except when highly controversial or unprecedented. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
