IMCD US currently has an opening for a Supply Chain Warehouse Supervisor who will support a team of Warehouse Analysts overseeing our warehouse network and the movement of material throughout our US distribution network. This role supports the overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized warehouse network and operations. This role is based in our Corporate Headquarters in Westlake, Ohio.

The Supply Chain Warehouse Supervisor will play a key role in the overall performance of our Supply Chain organization. The role will act as a direct manager and coach to our Warehouse support team ensuring support for our internal commercial team which interfaces with our external Principal and Customer community. Reporting directly to the National Supply Chain Manager for the IMCD US organization.

This person suggests new ways of solving problems and overcoming obstacles; defines problems and takes the time to collect and analyze data before proposing actions against them. Further, this individual will address consumer/customer needs in an effective, timely and creative way.

This role is a hands-on role that both owns and performs the work required to support our Supply Chain Management and broader organization. Critical in executing our strategic growth plan, providing high touch internal customer support, and supporting end-to-end Supply Chain functional excellence and process improvement, this role presents a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set. The ideal candidate will have math skills combined with strong analytical and statistical capabilities to understand supply and demand issues. The ability to use data to track orders and shipments, sales trends, demand and any weaknesses and inefficiencies is also an important essential function of this role. The soft skills to negotiate and build relationships with suppliers, customers, and team members, as well as having attention to detail to understand the business and the environment in which it operates, is imperative for the right candidate. The role entails cross-functional collaboration, solution-oriented focus, and an affinity for analytics, while having a strength in execution.

Successful candidates will be responsible to: 
Work directly with the National Supply Chain Manager on quarterly and annual initiatives to improve warehouse and inventory performance 
Monitor inventory levels and suggest transfers
Strategic Planning: Develop the Warehousing vision, strategy and a roadmap based on industry best practices and company objectives.
Inventory Policy: Develop and manage processes to ensure IMCD US is in compliance with the Global IMCD policy. Including Physical Inventory, Inventory accuracy, Quarterly Business reviews, and warehouse audits.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with commercial, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure changes in warehousing are communicated timely and effectively.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with warehouse partners to manage drive process improvements and ensure the warehouse partners are meeting IMCD's standards.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate Warehousing objectives, plans, and results to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance metrics (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the Warehousing process and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Development: Manage and mentor a team of Warehouse analysts, to build expertise and enhance capabilities within the organization.
Master Data Management: Ensure item master data is accurate in both IMCD's and the Warehouses systems.
 Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Oversee the development and management of SOPs.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Ability to focus on customer requirements and customer service within all areas of responsibility to meet and exceed customer’s expectations.
Continuously improve processes through the implementation of tools and techniques that measure quality, cost, and service gains.
Perform other duties and special assignments as directed by the Supply Chain Manager.
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
Develops individualized development plans for direct reports to promote growth.
Conducts effective quarterly performance reviews with direct reports and addresses personnel issues, as needed, by utilizing written warning and PIP process.
Provides ongoing coaching and development of team members and coordinate training for new hires and for continuing advancement of current staff.

Skills:
Strong PC skills in word processing, spreadsheet analysis; MRP planning and scheduling.
Strong organizational, communication and time management skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
Ability to perform detailed analyses and problem solving.
Deadline-driven, detail oriented, conscientious, and able to multitask.
Communicate effectively with a variety of contacts, including senior management.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Able to identify, analyze and solve relevant business problems in a timely manner.
Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced work environment, manage competing demands and deal with potential changes, delays, or unexpected events.
Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy and, at the same time, comfortable following instructions, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.
Able to read and write the English language sufficiently to understand, articulate and create effective and error free instructions and communications.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business) or 15 years equivalent experience.
Five years of Distribution, Operations or Warehousing experience.
Prior experience leading and coaching a team.
Strong PC skills in word processing, spreadsheet analysis; MRP planning and scheduling.
Strong organizational, communication and time management skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
Ability to perform detailed analyses and problem solving.
Deadline-driven, detail oriented, conscientious, and able to multitask.
Communicate effectively with a variety of contacts, including senior management.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Able to identify, analyze and solve relevant business problems in a timely manner.
Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced work environment, manage competing demands and deal with potential changes, delays, or unexpected events.
Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy and, at the same time, comfortable following instructions, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.

Flexible to work an occasional evening or weekend.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in supply chain or operations management.
Five years of experience managing 3PL Warehouse Partners.
ASCM CSCP, CLTD, or CPIM Certification.
Lean or Six Sigma experience.
Experience in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and urgent issues resulting in quick decision making.

This position has supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment
This job currently operates on a hybrid schedule rotating between in-office and remote work environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Must possess the ability to work with constant change, constant pressure to deliver on time and changing priorities, short deadlines and situational conflicts pertaining to job requirements. Positions requires movement throughout facilities for up to eight hours daily, ability to travel if called upon (less than 15%), exposure to various climates and environmental conditions such as rain, heat, cold weather although generally in an indoor climate-controlled environment. Employee will work with multiple tasks at all times and may sit at a desk for periods of time working on computers. There may be some exposure to loud noises from time to time. The individual must be willing to work overtime, weekends and some nights as needed and may be asked to attend meetings before and after normal hours, sometimes out of town and some evening meetings.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise directed. Additional hours may be required as needed.

Travel
Some travel is expected for this position up to 5%.
