Hybrid Health/PE - Woodlyn chez Buxmont Academy

Part-Time Health & Physical Education Teacher (Grades 7-12) Location: Woodlyn, PA Schedule: Thursdays and Fridays, 11am-3pm. Additional hours may be available. Compensation: $25/hour

Position Overview Buxmont Academy is seeking a motivated and qualified Part-Time Health & Physical Education Teacher to serve students in grades 7-12 at our Woodlyn campus. This is an excellent opportunity for educators who are passionate about student wellness and are looking for meaningful part-time work within a supportive educational community.

About Buxmont Academy Buxmont Academy is a licensed private academic school with six campuses throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. We specialize in serving at-risk youth through a restorative practices model that emphasizes respect, responsibility, and relationship-building. Our educators work closely with small groups of students to foster academic achievement and personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging health and physical education lessons
• Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
• Encourage healthy habits and lifelong wellness practices
• Collaborate with staff to support overall student success
• Maintain consistency with Buxmont's restorative philosophy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Health, Physical Education, or a related field
• Pennsylvania teaching certification or eligibility to obtain private teaching certification
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to engage and support a diverse student population
• Experience working with at-risk youth or in alternative education settings is a plus

Compensation & Educator Benefits This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25.
