I.T. Specialist - Full-Time
SJ Louis Construction has an immediate need for a Full Time Information Technology Specialist!

Reporting directly to the IT Manager, the IT Specialist is responsible for setting up and providing technical support for a full range of business technology including computer systems (hardware and software), technical assistance, network infrastructure, mobile devices, telephone systems, and audio-visual equipment. This position will provide excellent customer service by troubleshooting user related issues submitted through our internal ticketing system. Working independently at times, you'll need to assess reported problems or failures using diagnostic methods and tools to determine the likely cause followed by taking appropriate action to resolve issues in a timely manner. Often collaborating with other resources (both internal and external), the IT Support Specialist must have an understanding of system interdependencies to avoid unintentional interruption of services during troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems.
- Implements security measures and monitors security certificates and company compliance of requirements and identifies areas of risk
- Installs and configures computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Manages a documented a full cycle ticketing system to track issues, associated costs, and suggests solutions for equipment or software upgrades as appropriate
- Provides remote and in person hardware/software support for all communications and IT equipment including smart phones and tablets, printers, PCs, scanners, other office hardware
- Sets up and trains new users and non-technical users within a virtualized active directory environment
- Supports Microsoft server and desktop operating systems
- Develops and documents technology procedures and manuals
- Manages backup processes for all servers and locations
- Troubleshoots network and Wi-Fi issues
- Interacts with third party support when appropriate
- Other duties assigned when needed
Do you have the qualifications we are seeking?
- AA degree or similar work experience Preferred
- CompTIA A+ certification preferred
- Minimum of 1-year experience supporting help desk activities in a fast-paced environment
- Remote software assistance experience preferred (ConnectWise, screen connect, etc.)
- Proven ability to effectively multi-task, problem solve, and prioritize in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of general PC hardware and repair experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, M365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, BI, Etc.), MS Project, Dropbox, with the ability to learn additional programs as needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to work in a continuous learning environment
