Job Title: Event Cleaning Supervisor
Location: AIM- 14157 CJ Way, Noblesville, IN
Employer: Marquis Commercial Solutions
Position Type: Full-Time; Hourly, Non-Exempt. Starting Pay: $21.00/hour
Shift: Variable shifts, including evenings and weekends; with a minimum of 40 hours per week
Reports To: General Manager at AIM
Our team cleans the Arena at Innovation Mile-- a 3,400-seat, 120,000-square-foot arena-- that will be the future home of the Indiana Pacers’ G League franchise. The Event Supervisor role requires leadership and coordination skills, ensuring that every aspect of an event aligns with the client’s vision while maintaining operational efficiency. By overseeing the event team,
managing vendor relationships, and addressing any on-site challenges, the Event Supervisor ensures a
memorable experience for attendees and a stress-free process for clients. This position requires flexible
availability to oversee events during evening and weekend hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of employees to ensure all cleaning tasks are done on time and to
- the required standards, while maintaining a clean, safe, and friendly working environment for all

- Receive and respond to inquiries and complaints from property management and provide
- information to managers on key issues
- Ensure energy saving practices are followed and procedures for locking and unlocking buildings

- Manage time and attendance through Paylocity
- Train staff on equipment usage, duties/responsibilities, and chemical usage
- Perform a wide variety of cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, spot
- cleaning, and any other task assigned by the manager
- Dust and wipe down furniture, windowsills, light fixtures, and other surfaces
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and replenishing supplies (toilet
- paper, soap, etc.)
- Empty trash cans around the building and dispose of waste in a safe and proper manner
- Clean and disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and handrails
- Maintain cleanliness of entrance and exit areas, including sweeping walkways and removing
- debris
- Ensure cleaning supplies and chemicals are used in accordance with safety guidelines and
- company policies
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Regional Manager
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment
- (PPE)
- Ensure the building is kept safe from hazards such as slippery floors or blocked exit routes
- Verify that the team is maintaining the Janitor's space in a neat and clean condition and maintain
- cleaning equipment in proper working condition
- Adapt to changing policies, procedures, and/or duties as directed by management
Event Management and Scheduling Tasks:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at AIM
- Assign tasks and schedules to event cleaning staff in a timely manner; ensure proper staffing
- Lead the event setup and takedown processes, ensuring the venue is prepared before the event
- starts and returned to its original state afterward
- Handle cleaning related customer service inquiries and resolve any issues that arise before,
- during, or after the event to maintain high levels of satisfaction
- May be involved in administrative tasks related to cleaning and events
Qualifications
Experience:
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Skills:
- Ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- Bilingual language skills in English and Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoors and outdoors (weather
- permitting)
- Capable of using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers
Other Requirements:
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (if required by the client)
- Must be punctual, dependable, and maintain a positive attitude.
Working Conditions:
- Schedule: This position requires flexibility to ensure cleaning tasks are fulfilled for the building.
- This position has variable shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Uniform: Company shirts and any required PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided.
- Additional Marquis shirts/sweatshirts will be available for purchase at an additional cost.
- Training: On-the-job training will be provided to ensure proper use of cleaning equipment and
- chemicals.
