The Director of Food and Beverage oversees all aspects of dining operations in Embassy Suites Rosemont O’Hare. This includes strategic planning, staff management, budgeting, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and implement F&B strategies to meet financial and operational goals.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term planning.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee daily food and beverage operations
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
    • Monitor service standards and product quality.
    • Reports directly to the hotel General Manager
  • Staff Oversight
    • Recruit, train, and evaluate F&B staff
    • Schedule shifts and manage labor costs
    • Foster a culture of excellence and teamwork
  • Menu & Culinary Coordination
    • Work with Executive Chef to design and update menus.
    • Ensure consistency in food presentation and taste.
    • Stay current with culinary trends and guest preferences.
  • Financial & Inventory Control
    • Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
    • Oversee purchasing, inventory, and vendor relations.
    • Analyze financial data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Guest Experience
    • Address customer feedback and resolve complaints
    • Organize special events and promotions
    • Ensure seamless integration with other departments

  

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Management,      or related field
  • 8–10+ years of experience in food and beverage      management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Financial acumen and experience with budgeting
  • Familiarity and experience with high-volume operations
  • Certification from a culinary or hospitality institution (preferred)

Salary and Incentive 

$90,000.00 annually

 The position is eligible for a monthly performance incentive which is tied to the achievement of the hotel’s GOP
