Description
The Senior-Level Operations Analyst – Technical SME IAMD (SWTD) position provides expert technical analysis and subject matter expertise for Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) systems development and evaluation. This key personnel role supports Navy combat systems development, rapid capability development processes, and technical documentation review for naval surface warfare operations and IAMD planning systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide technical subject matter expertise for IAMD systems and planning tools
- Support Navy Combat Systems development initiatives and processes
- Participate in Rapid Capability Development process activities
- Review and collaborate on Navy Technical Documentation
- Apply DOTMLPF (Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities) process knowledge
- Support Navy Test & Evaluation (T&E) process requirements and procedures
- Operate tactical watch stations with authority to employ Aegis Weapon System
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience:
- A minimum of 12 years of military experience, and/or relevant industry and/or government experience with the surface navy's combat systems, C5I, networks, weapons systems and IAMD planning tools/systems
- Five (5) years of experience aboard Navy cruisers, destroyers, frigates or within qualified Department of Defense warfare areas
Required Skills:
- Qualified and experienced in a watch station with the authority to employ the Aegis Weapon System (i.e. Tactical Action Officer (TAO), Air Warfare Coordinator (AAWC), Battle Watch Captain)
- Must possess a Tactical Action Officer Qualification letter or BMD Watch Officer qualification letter
- Experience in Navy Combat Systems development
- Experience in Rapid Capability Development process
- Experience in Review and Collaboration on Navy Technical Documentation
- Understanding of DOTMLPF Process
- Experience and understanding of Navy T&E process
Security Clearance: Must possess current Security Clearance of SECRET and be TS//SCI eligible
Citizenship: US Citizenship required
Travel Requirements: Travel to fleet concentration areas
Physical Requirements: Standard office environment physical requirements for data analysis, training development, and team leadership activities.
