Primary Function: P4K provides long-term support for lifelong success by engaging students through mentoring, evidence-based programming and relationship building.  The Alumni Engagement Coordinator will create sustainable systems to track, contact, and involve our alumni in programs. By mentoring students, the Coordinator will understand the culture of our programs and needs of our students. This understanding will help the Coordinator to connect and engage with our former program alum. At P4K we empower our students to be the architects of their own future through engaging programming, enlightening career exploration, and encouraging support including scholarships. Through our partnership with Omaha Public Schools and local area colleges, we teach our students that through goal setting, education, and the right resources there is no limit to what they can achieve.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as a mentor/navigator at Marrs Middle School
  • Maintain an alumni contact system
  • Assist in planning alumni engagement initiatives
  • Design outreach materials

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as requested. 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience collecting and analyzing data
  • Cultural competency in working with diverse populations and age groups
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (fluency in English)
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage a flexible schedule
  • Competency in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed

 

Working Conditions:

  • Up to 15 hours throughout the work week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 6 pm. Interested candidates would discuss their availability due to calss schedules or other obligations at the time of interview.
  • Required 3:30 – 5 pm shift twice a month, Tuesdays – Thursdays
  • Travel between main office and Marrs Middle School will be required.
