Position Summary: Transcribe daily dictation for all radiological exams in accordance with Departmental guidelines.
Position Accountabilities:
- Transcribe daily dictation for all radiological exams in accordance with Departmental Guidelines.
- Meet the current minimum quantity and quality requirements as outlined by the Director of Radiology.
- Properly distribute transcribed charts to designated area.
- Distribute loose dictation to designated area on a daily basis.
- Notify the Director of Radiology of equipment malfunctions.
- Understand capabilities and operations of office machines including, but not limited to, computer systems, facsimile, telephone, copier, dictators and transcribers.
- Follow all Encompass Medical Group Policies and Procedures regarding release of medical record information and confidentiality.
- Track and report backlog of work to Director of Radiology.
- Report supplies needed and keep a log book of supplies ordered.
- Act as liaison between Transcription Department and outside services as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested. All examinations must be dome under the direct supervisor of a radiologist or a register technologist prior to radiographer certificate.
Job Specifications:
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
- 1 Year of Radiological Studies Completed

Working Conditions:
- May be required to travel to other offices.
- Requires some lifting, stooping and walking.
