Position Overview:

  • This position oversees the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including managing staff, equipment, and logistics is responsible for the management, oversight and contribution to the process of assembling parts and packaging for shipping, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and managing a team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to safety and quality.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Responsible for maintaining high-quality standards throughout the assembly process. This involves inspecting products at various stages and implementing corrective measures if necessary.
  • Oversee procedures for shipments, and communicating with customers about shipping and receiving
  • Create work schedules, allocate tasks, and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
  • Provide training to new employees and conduct ongoing training sessions to enhance the skills of existing workers.
  • Ensure that safety protocols are followed to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any potential hazards.
  • Keep track of inventory levels, requests materials as needed and ensure that adequate supplies are available to meet production demands.
  • Address any issues or challenges that arise during the assembly process, such as equipment malfunctions or production delays.
  • Maintain records of production activities, including output levels, quality control measures, and any incidents or accidents that occur.
  • Must be familiar with, and follow, all standard operating procedures and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of how and where to locate procedures and forms relevant to this position.

Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Strong knowledge of manufacturing management best practices, including assembly line, inventory control, shipping, and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource management system (ERP) and other software applications used for inventory management and order processing.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team of warehouse personnel.
  • Forklift Operator (must pass test)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Forklift certification and knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Strong literacy and comprehension skills.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Completion of company indoctrination.
  • Successful completion of safety training programs.
  • Understanding of the company’s Quality System and processes.
