The Sr. Mortgage Quality Assurance Specialist manages and oversees all aspects of the Quality Control plan(s) for multiple platforms, the quality of loan files, the process of loan file submissions, works with business stakeholders: originations, operations, and underwriting to determine if identified defects are warranted, determines remediation options, and collaborates in providing accurate reconciliation data for monthly audit reports to leadership. Mentor QA team members and work directly with third-party audit vendor on timely completion of identified defects to ensure final publication deliverables are consistently met. Mentor and ensure escalated identified system errors and processing gaps have been successfully reported, and actively being worked or resolved by business stakeholders: Mortgage Technology, Mortgage Originations Leadership, Mortgage Operations Leadership, Mortgage Underwriting Leadership, or Mortgage Servicing Leadership. Mentor and develop quality control, operational and servicing reporting with the guidance and direction of the QA Manager. Mentor and collaborate in the development and maintenance of mortgage operations and/or compliance training with the guidance and direction of the QA Manager. Mentor and coordinate with business stakeholders: originations, operations, and underwriting to address and remediate identified defects while ensuring remediation efforts are in compliant with state and federal regulatory laws. Mentor, develop and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) analysis tools and reports to support business needs with the guidance and direction of the QA Manager. Develop the writing and maintenance of internal desktop manuals that document business processes for QA with the guidance and direction of the QA Manager. Develop and perform various targeted or discretionary audits as needed with the guidance and direction of the QA Manager. Mentor QA team members with various targeted and discretionary audit processes, lead with strong clear and concise communication skills, and ensure timely and accurate reporting. Mentor and ensure the quality of loans are thoroughly analyzed and adhere to Security Service Federal Credit Union (SSFCU) portfolio and Fannie Mae (FNMA), and mortgage insurance (MI) guidelines while remaining compliant with local, state and federal regulatory laws. Mentor and assist mortgage related compliance/regulatory changes in the market in order to evaluate the impact to business with the guidance and direction of the QA Manager. Mentor and works with Mortgage Leadership and Mortgage Technology to review, test, and collaborate to implement compliance changes to the loan origination system (LOS). Mentor and master on complex and forensic underwriting skills and knowledge reviews as required with the collaboration and guidance of the QA Manager. Mentor, collaborate, and master skills and knowledge to draft, publish, and maintain internal desktop manuals and job aids for all business stakeholders within Mortgage Services. Mentor and conduct vendor management due diligence for the sub-servicer, including adherence to regulatory requirements, business continuity and disaster recovery.
