Description
- The Policy and Procedure Coordinator assists the Compliance Lead by performing various assigned functions, including research and coordination of policies, procedures, protocols, and job aids. This position requires the employee to work independently and to maintain compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements.
- Read, interpret, and assist in the preparation of complex documents such as policy, procedure, protocol, memoranda of understanding, Medical Staff Committee Bylaws, Governing Board Bylaws, plans of correction, and other documents.
- Develop and/or update applicable governing documents (policy, procedure, protocol, job aids, etc.) that support and direct organizational practices and ensure compliance.
- Demonstrate highly accurate grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Participate in State and Federal surveys
- Produce deliverable products on time, within budget, and with minimal direction.
- Maintain all appropriate information as confidential, to include material produced, personnel information, patient information, and other information obtained during the
- course of job duties.
- Work with administration, management, Medical Staff, and legal counsel to assure compliance with the District’s Governing Board and Medical Staff bylaws, Policy, Procedure, Protocol, accreditation standards, and Federal and State regulations.
- Produce deliverable products on time, within budget, and with minimal direction
- Attend conferences and educational forums as approved
Requirements
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Computer literacy required
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in legal, secretarial, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree required; relevant experience may substitute
- Background and training in healthcare preferred
- CHC, CPMSM, or similar preferred
