Hybrid Paraprofessional - Instructional Aide chez Lakeside Union School District

To assist in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning school environment in which students benefit from instructional program.

The Lakeside Union School District (LUSD) accepts employment applications exclusively through Edjoin.org. First time users will need to develop a username and password. All candidates not currently employed with the district must file a completed application and resume. In-House applicants only need to complete the Attachments and Signature links which can be found on the right side of the application. Please see your site administration for assistance. Steps to complete an In-House Application: Go to the LUSD website and click Employment link. Click red button to view vacancies and access applications. Click the vacancy for which you want to apply. Click red button to begin application. Create EDJOIN User Name and Password. Underneath Links, click Next until you get to the Attachments Link. Click Add a New Attachment, and follow the steps to upload your Letter of Interest (pdf only). Click Next to go to Signature link, and complete. Click Next. Click Submit Application.

1. Demonstration of at least one of the following: a. Completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher education. b. Possession of an associate’s degree or higher. c. Through a local or state assessment, that is appropriate to the responsibilities to be assigned to the paraprofessional, knowledge of, and ability to assist in, instructing reading, writing, and mathematics. 2. Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics skills up to or exceeding that required for high school seniors. 3. Ability to follow oral and written directions. 4. Knowledge of basic clerical procedures. 5. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a multiethnic environment. 6. Bilingual ability may be required, depending on assignment.

$16.89- $21.46 hourly rate in 12 steps. No less than minimum wage. Placement on the salary schedule will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, as determined by the District Superintendent.
