DAYS: Monday - Friday
HOURS: 6:00 AM – End times vary with production needs

SUMMARY
General production workers will assist in mixing, packaging, and palletizing products on production lines. They will ensure products are made with the highest quality possible while following all food safety procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Perform activities as required by HACCP and SQF.
- Follows all food safety and plant safety rules.
- Will rotate throughout the plant working on various production lines.
- May assist in other areas of plant as needed.
- Packaging product into boxes
- Making boxes
- Palletizing boxes
- Weighing out ingredients to the correct weight
- Cleaning containers before putting into boxes
- Ensure wieghts, labels, lids, packaging, etc are correct
- Keep accurate record keeping
- Inspect ingredients to ensure highest quality
- Use a knife to cut ingredients
- Mix and dispense salads into containers by hand
- Set up, check and metal detect all products at appropriate time
- Wash down equipment as needed
- Keep area clean and free of food debris on floor
- All other duties as assigned
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Follow all food and safety procedures, including wearing of appropriate PPE.
- Team player attitude and willingness to fill in as needed.
- Have positive communication with others and timely reporting of concerns or questions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly working near moving mechanical parts, occasionally exposed to extreme cold and heat (non-weather). The employee is occasionally working in high, precarious places, may encounter fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Occasionally employees may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, risk of electrical shock and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
