GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY:  Responsible for managing complex technology projects and/or assisting with product development process for multiple teams utilizing both Agile and traditional (Hybrid) project management methodologies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Ensure sprint goals and standard scrum principles and practices are being followed as appropriate.
  • Proactively plan, manage, and monitor projects assigned as appropriate (highest level of complexity and enterprise impacts).  Track and report on RAID/RIDAC items and dependencies, collaborating with impacted stakeholders to mitigate risks and resolve issues timely.  Maintain accurate weekly and monthly status reports, including a milestone road map of upcoming key activities/deliverables.
  • Drive expert-level change management planning and execution (e.g., Prosci Adkar model and/or Change Management certified), coaching others in change management roles as needed for enterprise transformation needs.
  • Assist with fostering the culture of technical discipline and craftsmanship that is the hallmark of high-performing teams. Help the team with managing interpersonal conflicts, challenges, and finding opportunities for growth.
  • Assist with ensuring deliverables are up to quality standards and align with QC/QA standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to development team and project managers, drive process adherence to the solution development life cycle.
  • Assist with coaching and training to the PMO delivery community to support department goals, acting as an SME for PMO processes, governance mechanisms and controls.
  • Keep stakeholders well informed of status of development effort and serve as liaison between development staff and business partners. Communicate complex technical topics to non-technical resources and leadership.
  • Partner with other IT functions (e.g., architecture, security, infrastructure, data warehouse) to assess impacts of their initiatives and ensure our technical solutions are aligned with overall IT direction.
  • Act as focal point for any project escalations within assigned delivery area.  Ensure proper tracking and timely resolution.
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of all CRL, CRL subsidiaries, legal entities and client information.
  • Be able to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations that would apply to this job.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 

EXPERIENCE: 10 years of experience in leading projects in traditional, hybrid, and Agile project environments.

  • Must be able to communicate with senior audiences in a professional manner
  • Ability to mentor PMO Delivery Leads and grow talent in others.
  • Ability to expertly select methodology activities and deliverables (Traditional/Agile/Hybrid) that will best meet the needs of the project/product team for the initiative being delivered, providing the flexibility and tools available to maximize the efficiency and right-size the delivery rigor needed.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on end-user needs
  • Ability to facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities without direct supervision

EQUIPMENT:  PC and communications equipment

OTHER:  Overtime and weekend work as necessary according to workload and/or projects; occasional travel is required; this is an “on-call” position requiring the use of wireless phone for after-hours contact.
