This individual is responsible for processing and posting both manual and electronic payments for policy holders and agents, ensuring precision and timeliness in all transactions. A key responsibility is creating, processing, and securely sending bank files to the bank, ensuring compliance with security protocols and efficient payment processing.
Additionally, the position involves researching and resolving discrepancies between internal and external reporting related to policies and agency accounts, directly impacting the company’s financial integrity. The role requires a meticulous approach to review policies and agent accounts before issuing refunds or commissions. The individual also provides vital support to internal teams, policy holders, and agents by addressing inquiries related to payments, billing, refunds, and endorsements, making this position crucial to maintaining operation excellence and fostering strong relationships across the organization.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pay plan changes
- Payment research
- Payment posting
- Credit card payments and reconciliation
- Write-offs / Waives
- Stop payments
- Issue refunds
- Assist customers, agents, and CSRs in payment related questions
- Balance policy premium
- Process returned payments
- Manage E-sign forms related to EFT authorization
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent, six months to one-year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skilled in navigating websites and proficient in using Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
