Cedar Park Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to oversee approximately $15M in design-build construction projects. This role ensures that all work meets the Scope of Work (SOW), applicable standards, addenda, environmental provisions, permits, laws, and schedules. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in quality control management for large-scale construction, with the ability to work independently while collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, based on project activity, meeting schedules, and inspections. Minimum two hours/day on active sites (currently three sites in progress). No work on federal holidays. Candidate must live within 30 minutes of the base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and execute the Project-Specific Quality Control Plan (QCP) in compliance with contract documents, standards, and company policies.

  • Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for all definable features of work.

  • Meet with on-site representatives, coordinate and witness inspections, and maintain daily QC reports.

  • Oversee and verify that materials, equipment, and work practices meet project specifications.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, design firms, and third-party testing agencies to ensure quality deliverables.

  • Identify, document, and resolve non-conformance issues through corrective and preventive actions.

  • Maintain detailed QC records, including inspection reports, test results, and certifications.

  • Monitor subcontractor QC programs to ensure compliance with project QCP.

  • Review and approve quality-related submittals from subcontractors.

  • Participate in project meetings, quality control meetings, and pre-construction briefings.

  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a culture of quality and safety.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • In lieu of a degree: 10 years’ construction experience on projects valued at $10M+/year, plus 5 years of QC experience on projects valued at $5M+/year.

  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR) as they pertain to QC, construction, and contract performance.

  • Strong ability to interpret and revise prints and surveys.

  • Must be able to pass a federal background check and possess a Real ID or Passport for base access.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CQM-C (Construction Quality Management for Contractors) or equivalent certifications.

  • Familiarity with military construction standards (e.g., USACE, NAVFAC).

  • Proficiency in QC documentation software and reporting tools.
