Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our service team as a Cashier/Appointment Coordinator. This dual role is essential to creating an exceptional experience for our customers, ensuring their service appointments are scheduled smoothly and their checkout process is seamless and positive. What You’ll Do:

Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and professionally, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Listen attentively to customers’ needs, providing accurate information and assistance.
  • Process customer payments (cash, credit cards, checks), and maintain proper record-keeping for all transactions.
  • Accurately compute and process bills, ensuring the checkout process runs smoothly.
  • Reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each day.

Appointment Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers scheduling service appointments.
  • Provide detailed information about available services and coordinate appointment schedules.

Additional Duties:

  • Serve as a backup receptionist when needed.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail efficiently.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Assist with additional tasks as required.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow within the automotive industry.
  • Basic computer and math skills for handling transactions and scheduling.
  • Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus but not required.

Time Off & Holidays

  • Paid Time Off (PTO):

                             3–10 years: 1.53 hours per 40 hours worked

                             10+ years: 2.30 hours per 40 hours worked

Requirements

 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to independently problem solve.
