Position Overview


This role will be responsible for developing and supporting JD Edwards. The JDE Specialist is responsible for providing input and assisting in the development and implementation of business initiatives to support company operations and business decision-making. This role will also be responsible for supporting all API functions associated with JDE as well as web and mobile applications.


Essential Job Functions

  • This role will be responsible for analyzing/supporting JD Edwards based solutions
  • The JDE Specialist is responsible for providing input and assisting in the development and implementation of business initiatives to support company operations and business decision-making
  • Propose systems solutions and identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement 
  • Develop proposed solutions from test to production
  • Perform unit testing of proposed changes and support user testing, implementation, training, and support
  • Assist in the creation of business requirements, workflows, system design, and functional and technical specifications
  • Support the end-to-end Production process and systems design across JDE and supporting applications
  • Design - Menus, UXone UDO – (like Watchlist, E1 Pages, Orchestrator solutions, Advanced queries), BIP Output, E1 Batch application, E1 Interactive Applications
  • Create versions, set processing options, menus and promote them to production
  • Meet and coordinate with technical analyst/department managers to develop solutions to business problems understanding the nature of the problem for resolution
  • Collaborate with employees, functional consultants, and contractors
  • Assist with upgrades and migrations
  • Implement Orchestrator solutions to streamline processes
  • Analyze modification requests to ensure that JDE base code is used whenever possible, and customizations are kept to a minimum. Ensure system modification documentation is kept up to date
  • Regularly help in day-to-day resolution of the business/system/user issues
  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs to support web and mobile applications
  • Ensure API security and authentication mechanisms are robust
  • Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues promptly

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with JDE E1 release 9.2 and above in the following areas: Distribution, Manufacturing, Engineer to Order (ETO), Procurement, Sales & Distribution, Warehouse, Finance
  • The ability to perform analysis and research business needs to translate those into measurable business requirements 
  • Understanding of Oracle Support processes and procedures
  • Demonstrate complex problem-solving skills to anticipate and resolve any issues
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Agile and flexible to accommodate changes in business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 5+ years of functional and technical experience in JDE implementation and support roles 
  • Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs to support web and mobile applications.
  • Reports Now, Power BI, and BarTender experience a plus
  • EDI experience a plus
