POSITION SUMMARY  

This position works with the Contracting Managers with tour product contracting, administering and coordinating the product set up for DA's North American products, contracting attractions, restaurants and optional tours, and other projects as assigned.

This is a position for a team player with a great can-do attitude who is well organized, displays a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, is driven, multi-task oriented with a strong interest and passion for product. The ability to communicate effectively in a team atmosphere is also key to success in this position.

Requirements


Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively negotiate the best available rates and terms when contracting and purchasing itinerary components, attractions, restaurants, and optional tours with a wide range of suppliers based on timelines dictated by the business cycles of ALL Destination America clients to maximize product quality and profit.
  • Create and secure contracts for assigned components in line with expected timelines.
     
  • Update Live Costings for inclusions and meals. Update the exception log for inclusions and optionals and update tour pricing data.
     
  • Responsible for obtaining and accurately keeping record of certifications of Liability and Insurance and health and safety surveys annually for assigned Inclusion and Optional supplier base. Insurance information to be obtained for the carrier, type of coverage, and limits based on the type of supplier and size of the company. Management and accountability of all high-risk surveys ensuring compliance and completion.
     
  • Check for availability and contract added departures as needed to maximize overall guest volume per trip series.
     
  • Other duties and projects as required.
     
  • Foster positive relationships and trust with in-house and external clients and key business partners through a spirit of partnership, demonstrated track record of execution, strong on-time delivery, high quality, continuous innovation, and the exceeding of expectations.
     
  • Review, identify, and proactively bring to the attention of the Contracting Managers/Product Developers any trends and issues that may have an impact on the business operation, financial performance, and the public image of the company.
     

Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Airtable) required.
     
  • Internet proficiency required.
     
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn in-house reservations systems required.
     
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
     
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff required.
     

Experience

  • 1 year travel industry work experience preferred.
     

Travel & Other Requirements

  • Travel as required by supervisor for trade shows or FAM trips or quality control of suppliers or research & development of product.
     
  • Good knowledge of North American geography and destinations preferred and willingness to travel as necessary.
     
  • Vision correctable to 20/20 with reasonable accommodation required.
     
  • Ability to look at a computer monitor for long periods of time with reasonable accommodation required.

Salary -  $20-$24 hourly
