The Regional Head of Reefer is the central figure in the development and maintenance of the Reefer Product in the Region.  This role defines the growth strategy for the region and acts as the coach ans sparring partner for the country Leads.  The role is key to ensuring the global strategy is tanslated into the region. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Planning: 

  • Create and implement strategic plans for the product development in the Region - aligning objectives iwth our various logistics solutions and the global team. 
  • Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth. 

     

Customer Facing: 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understaning their business needs and challenges. 
  • Drive sales efforts through all available channels
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert supporting the Verticals
  • Joint customer visits
  • Act as operational escalation point for customers. 
     


General: 

  • P&L responsible for the Reefer product in the Region.
  • Responsible for the management of the Regional Reefer team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each team member is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives
  • Responsible for the continued growth of the product both in terms of volume and in terms of network and operational capabilities. 
  • Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP Word's Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.  

     

Operational: 

  • Responsible for the operation of all business handled in the Region. 
  • Ensure that global standards are trainied and executed in all countires in the Region. 

Ensure support ot the Healthcare team in terms of the rollout of GDP in the Region. 


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Bachelors Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 

 

Highly Desirable: 

  • Insider knowledge and/or prior interaction with companies in the Produce, Seafood, Meat & Proteins, Dairy, Retail and Quick Service Restaurant Industries. 
  • Year of experienc e with refrigerated ocean freight. 
  • Proven track record in Reefer management. 
  • Relentless drive for improvement and growth. 
  • Strong negotaions, communication, and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. 
  • Proficient in relevant software and tools (CRM systems, Excel, logistics software). 
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, sub-contractors and attend industry events. 
  • Experience with lean management principles and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
